Just saw your email. From your note, it looks like you may connect to my paternal first cousin Tom Dillon, from Bunbury, West Australia. I am managing his familytree DNA account.

Regarding the alias of Bunbury Tom, I used it as I am a Dillon on both sides of my family (all from north Kerry) and some of my maternal cousins have taken the DNA test, too. It was my attempt to help me track which cousin Tom I was dealing with. It helps, sometimes!

Tom's family (and mine) were originally from North Kerry, near Listowel. My father James Dillon/Dillane and Tom's father John Dillon/Dillane were brothers and were both born and raised in Dromerin, about 4 miles outside Listowel. Their parents were another James Dillon and Bridget Kennelly.

So far, I've traced some of the Kennelly line. For example, Tom (and my) great grandparents were Mary Shea and Patrick Kennelly; and G-g- grandparents were Edmund Kennelly and Hanora "Ann" Hayes. I still have research to do on the Dillon/Dillane line.

Tom's father John Dillon and his wife Catherine Nolan (who was originally from Coilbee, Listowel) emigrated to west Australia in the late 1930s.

I have just started to research Tom's mother's family (Nolans from Coilbee, Listowel) for him. I haven't come across the names O'Grady or Enright yet or relatives in Pennsylvania, but I am only at the beginning of my research for Tom's maternal family and my paternal family.

On my first trip to Ireland (in 1966), I remember briefly meeting a man by the name of Mickeen Enright. He had been a childhood friend of my mother's (Tess Dillon). She grew up in Gurtcreen, about 3 miles outside Listowel. Mickeen had been a childhood friend of hers.
